the passing
my mom’s husband and best friend passed away on Wednesday morning, March 22nd, and 7:30am. they have been together for 25 years. he was a wonderful man, who loved and cared for my mom very much. thanks for all of the thoughts and prayers.

Metareview – G.R.A.W. (Xbox 360)
ok…so i’m really geeking out this week, but this game looks amazing. Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter is one of the latest releases from the xbox 360, and yes, it may very well be my next game purchase. i may try to review it for you after i play it, but more than likely i won’t. here’s a good review.

new X-men Trailer
Holy. Crap. new X-men Trailer. i know i’m a geek with a superhero fixation, but this could be the best superhero movie to date, if the movie comes close to the trailer. i guess we’ll find out on May 26th.

latest fiona album vs. jon brion’s version
i just recently found the jon brion version of the latest fiona apple record, which is very interesting. you can tell that it wasn’t fully mixed and mastered, which kind of gives it an indie feel, i guess. Pitchfork did a review, doing a comparison between the two. read the review here. i’m sure it’s better than i can do.
i can tell you that the sounds are better. i like jon brion’s style. the vocals are better on the new, but i’m guessing they weren’t done yet.
