On a Visit to the Pacific Northwest – a new mix

hello. It’s been quite a while since i posted a mix (or blogged, for that matter). This mix contains a great number of songs that make me immensely happy. These are songs that put a smile on my face and make living through the miserable summer months bearable. Drink some cool sangria, maybe a coca cola, a cold beer, or even some room temperature chowder.
Some of these songs have explicit lyrics, so consider yourself warned.
1. Happy Up Here – Röyksopp
2. 1901 – Phoenix
3. Cop Car (Demo) – Heypenny
4. The Bears Are Coming – Late of the Pier
5. Pop Song – Starf**ker
6. Meteor – The Bird and the Bee
7. Electric Feel – MGMT
8. I Don’t Want You Back – Uncle Skeleton
9. The Most Beautiful Girl (In the Room) – Flight of the Conchords
10. Ego Tripping at the Gates of Hell – The Flaming Lips
11. Around the Block – Company of Thieves
12. Long Division – Death Cab for Cutie
13. Buttons and Zips – Elbow
14. Fly Around the Room – lowercase collective

lowercase collective on last.fm and 6 new songs
Long time since i posted a lowercase collective anything.
We have 6 new songs that may or may not be here in your/our lifetime. I’ll let you know when those songs are here. I may call you or something.
We are also on last.fm, and you can see other people who are listening to us, and it’s pretty cool, really. Get hooked up with last.fm. I’ve discovered a lot of cool bands through here.
That’s all for now.
I think “Fly Around the Room”, which is one of the new songs, is on our myspace page.

We Own This Town Podcast and thanks
lowercase collective has made it onto a local podcast. thanks to the team at weownthistown.net for including us.
for those of you living under tundra, lowercase collective played at the Rutledge last evening with Sleeptalker and Codaphonic. it may have very well been the best show we’ve ever done. both of the bands playing with us were exceptional. i picked up Sleeptalker’s EP, and it is out of this world. i already have Codaphonic’s latest, and it’s great music to listen to when you’re down or you just need to bob your head. or anytime for that matter. get them both and support great local music.
thanks to everyone who came out to the show. the Rutledge is my favorite venue in Nashville. please continue to support it and local artists.
lowercase collective photos
it’s only been a year and a half, but we have ‘band photos’ now. i’ve posted 3 of them on our myspace page, and i’m going to start working on a new website soon.
we’re still waiting on the tracks for the album, which i’m already working on the art for as well.
we’re playing a show with Codaphonic and Sleeptalker on March 21st at the Rutledge. i’ll remind you as we get closer.
lowercase collective on a new mix
lowercase collective have made it onto the “Local Love” mix put out by yewknee.com. we thank Michael for the love. you should download this mix and other mixes, and then go support the artists in said mixes by purchasing their music or seeing them live.
in other lowercase collective related news, our producer/magic maker, Rob Burrell, told me the other day that the mixes are under way, and they are sounding better than claymation rudolph looks. we should be putting out an album soooooon.
i’ll keep you updated.
